Colophon
As the sidebar states, Odds and Ends of Contemporary Life is a blog about the web, productivity, Apple and mac geekery, user interfaces, and technology news. It is written by Daniel Swiecki, a 15 year old geek residing in Irvington, NY.
Me
I write for this blog twice a week on average, on a variety of topics. I do it not because I have an excess of time, but because the sharing of knowledge and opinions through blogs is a truly amazing phenomenon of our age. This is also the reason why I love getting feedback from readers and anyone who may be stopping by. I live as a geek, and I geek as a lifestyle. I am a warhammer gamer, a hardcore apple fanboy, a hobbyist photographer, and a web developer.
Odds and Ends is my proverbial creative vent for any cool tutorials, awesome websites, outraging news, or just experiences I’ve had that people should know about.
Apple
I’m an die-hard Apple fanboy. I own an Intel Core 2 duo MacBook with 2 GB RAM, a G4 Powerbook, an Intel iMac, and a 5th generation iPod. Since I missed the iPhone launch(due to spending all of my money on other hobbies), I’ve made myself wait for the second generation iPhone. I plan to buy a Mac Pro(and 30″ display) when the next version of that comes out as well. At any one time, my desk can be found cluttered with my MacBook, Dell 20″ Display, iPod and dock, and a few Steve Jobs biographies. One or two of my My Book external hard drives may sneak into a corner as well.
